Silver Bowl From The Greek Orthodox Patriarch Of Jerusalem Benedictus I To General Uzi Narkiss, 1968.
This bowl was presented by the Patriarch shortly after The Six Day War to General Uzi Narkiss (1925-1997) who was the commander of the eastern front and the liberator of Jerusalem.
The oval bowl is set on four paw shape supports, engraved on both sides with the emblem of the Greek Orthodox Patriarchate of Jerusalem.
It is engraved with a personal dedication in English – “Gift from his beatitude the Greek Orthodox Patriarch of Jerusalem, Benedictus I, to General Uzi Narkiss, 1968”.
An important artifact from the history of Jerusalem.
