Rare German Silver Hanukkah Menorah, Krutsche, Breslau, 1849-1861.
The escutcheon form backplate with scrolled edges and centered by a bowl of flowers on diaperwork background.
The plain base on foliate bracket feet, shell grips on either side, hinged cover lifting to reveal eight compartments, each with sloping narrow oil containers.
The top of the backplate with a detachable auxiliary servant light (Shamosh).
The reverse with a hook to enable hanging it on the wall.
Marked with German silver marks for Breslau 1849-1861, maker’s mark for Carl Friedrich Otto Theodor Krutsche (active 1858-1884).
Very good condition, two oil containers are a little bent and one has a small piece of the tip missing,
