First attempt to describe one of the traditional Jewish ritual items from an artistic vantage point.
Authored by Mordechai Narkiss (1897-1957), the right-hand assistant of Prof. Boris Shatz in the establishment of the “Bezalel Jerusalem” school of art.
The book is replete with many photographs of about 100 ancient Hanukkah candelabrums with research text regarding the Menorah.
With many sketches, the work of Meir Gur Aryeh (1891-1951) one of the important Bezalel artists.
The many photographs are centered in the second half of the book and are printed on quality, chrome paper, Jerusalem, 1939.
