WMF B. Buch Brass Tea Caddy / Sugar Box, Warsaw, Poland, Ca 1900.
The oval hinged box is chased all around with foliage ornaments.
Topped by a stylized finial.
Can be also used as a wonderful jewelry box.
This item was probably originally made as a tea caddy or a sugar box but since it comes from a Jewish family it was most likely used as an Etrog box.
Buch was a Polish metal maker which became a subsidiary of the famous German metal company WMF (Wurttembergische Metallwaren Fabrik) circa 1900.
