The medal is made with Samuel Joseph Agnon (also known as: Shai Agnon) gilt (gold washed) portrait surrounded by the French inscription “Prix Nobel de Litterature 1966” (Nobel prize in literature 1966) and the famous author name “Agnon”, the other side is decorated with “The mad dog” by Helen Guastalla inspired by a scene from one of Agnon’s most famous books – “Only Yesterday”.
Marked next to the “Mad dog” with the artist’s signature of Helen Guastalla.
Also marked on the side – “1971, Cuivre” (French for Copper).
This is a limited edition medal numbered “12/100”.
Comes in a square blue box and with a plastic stand.
