Victorian Sterling Silver Book Shape Vinaigrette, Ca 1850.

The hinged box is made in the shape of a miniature book engraved with scroll and foliage ornaments and centered with a monogrammed cartouche with the initials “K.S”.
The gilt (gold washed) interior is made with hinged grille delicately engraved with floral and foliage ornaments.
