Imperial Russian 84 Silver Ethrog Box By Emil Radke, 1883.

Of oval shape, engraved with foliate ornaments, vacant cartouche to the lid, the hinged lid is applied with a fruit shape finial.
Monogrammed with the letter “M” topped with a crown.
Four bracket supports shaped as vine leaves and grape clusters.
Marked with Russian silver marks (84 standard), dated 1883, city mark for Warsaw, Poland, Assayer mark for Josef (Joseph) Sosnkowski, maker’s mark for Emil Radke.

From 1852-1896 an Imperial Russian assay office was functioning in Warsaw, the city mark was the Imperial eagle (this mark is often confused with that of Minsk).
