Traveling case with sterling silver outer case opens to reveal two pop-up stands and removal cap over 2 burner wicks.
The pop-up stands and the burner are made of silver plated metal.
The case is beautifully chased and relief with two cherubs, floral and foliate ornaments.
A vacant cartouche to the center of the lid (not monogrammed).
The exclusive item was used as a stand and heater for milady’s curling iron during travel.
The top quality of this item indicate that it was made for a upper class noble user.
Fully hallmarked for London, England, dated 1899, maker’s marks for the renowned Goldsmiths & Silversmiths Company (“W.G.J.L” – William Gibson & John Langman).
Also stamped “Goldsmiths & Silversmiths Company Ltd. 112 Regent St. W”.
