Rare Palmach Bracha Fuld (fold) Memorial Service – Izkor Announcement Poster, Israel, 1947
This announcement was issued for the one year memorial service commemoration for Bracha Fuld.
She served at the Palmach and was killed in action by the British police at the landing of the Wingate (see more below).
After her death a Haapalah ship (ship carrying illegal immigrants to Palestine) was called after her name (see picture).
The announcement is written in Hebrew and dated “25.3.47”, a picture of Bracha Fuld to the right side.
” The people of Israel will remember their daughter Bracha Fold, the brave and the pure who fallen for the sanctity of immigration and salvation by the servant of the White Paper.
She fallen in the mission of the people and for the people, her figure will be a flag and symbol for all the members uniting around her life work.
The Jewish youth will not tire and will not exhaust, the illegal immigration will continue until the right of all Jews to immigrate to their homeland will be recognized.”
