Rare Hand Signed & Written Postcard By Professor Dr. Joseph Klausner, Jerusalem, Palestine, 1938

The postcard is written in Hebrew and translates as follows:

“First day of first Adar, TRZ”H (Tartza”ch)
Dear mr. Ludwig Jokl.
Forgive me please for my long silence. I received the beautiful and eloquent, both in content and style, letter, with the example of the translation of my books, while I was ill. I handed the example to d”r Zigmond Katzanelson, head of the Judishcer Verlog, and he told me that he is considering publishing a German translation of my book “when a nation fights for its freedom” and will also pay attentions to your translation, but he also has a translator in Berlin. If you have a different publisher you can continue the translation and finish it, and if Katzanelson will not publish it, your other publisher may publish it. In any case I thank you for your letter and the translation example I ask to know if you have a publisher for the translation other than the Judischer Verlog.
With the blessing of full salvation,
Prof. Dr. Joseph Klausner.”
